I'm gonna pull a "humble Hardin" post here and just say that, although in the past we have made this area rather miserable for the locals, we respect CVA and acknowledge their overall superior power.
When your local forces are roughly equivalent to one mid-size corp and the opposition is a large alliance with several motivated (if a bit novice) supporters (citadel corps & alliances) then you are not in a situation where you want to go for permanent control of space. Puppets aren't living here as an alliance either. It's only part of my corp and our close friends (mostly the Core Impulse crew) looking for some fun.
Despite what has been said in jest, this part of Domain is just a favorite spot for -MVN- vacations between participation in the events of 0.0. Emsek is not "ours" like it was for a couple months earlier this year and even then, with enough people x'ing up, CVA can always force us off the field like they did about an hour ago with a mommy/carrier hot-drop in Gemodi.
We've fought them straight up many times (when we have numbers that give us the opportunity) and in truth they are the only alliance in the Prov coalition that we give any special consideration to when evaluating our engagements. Unlike my good friend Cardking (more like SmackKing), I'd prefer to leave the trash talking out of it, though the RP comments in local like "traitors..." and "God thinks you're naughty!" are always amusing. Less amusing are the bizarre eve mails I get. Apparently quite a few people in Providence have trouble differentiating real life morality from video games.
It is always a bit surprising after fighting other alliances to move into this region and see things like a Nyx being used in a 15-man low-sec gate-camp on my first day back, but then again CVA has grown so accustomed to fighting roamers that they have grown rather bold in their capital deployments. It would sure be a pity if someone were to arrange an ambush based on these bold (or reckless some might say) capital deployments
Anyway, you really can't beat the local target selection here (see what's-his-face's "Getsu Fune" video series for some examples). A chicken in every pot and a CNR in every belt! In conjunction with roaming other regions, Prov + Domain provides enough pew for even our most reclusive shut-ins, so it's a place we love to visit when we can.
We'll be gone soon enough so if you want to fight us consider our reaction and leave your super-caps at home. It's not all about reducing your own odds of losing right?
...
Right?
